Honda leaves F1

Well I feel sorry for the 700 strong people in the team but as for the corporate a*$£holes at Honda - all I can say is good riddance. Racing is in their blood? Pah! Honda just simply couldnt hack the fact that they were scurrying around the pack of the field not to be last.  Instead of being racy for the challenge they blame the withdrawal on the 40% drop in worldwide car sales.  This was a planned move and not the sudden decision as suggested by Fukui the CEO.  Honda obviously couldnt stomach the idea of doing Cosworth customer engines in 2010 (whilst their manufacturer counterparts use their own engines) or being midfield (at best) in 2009.

No doubt Nick Fry, Ross Brawn, Bruno Senna and Jenson Button as well as key technical staff are likely to be snapped up by the rest of the circling vulture like paddock.  If Honda have any honour they will produce engines for 2009 as part of a deal with the new team buyer (if any).

So much for Earth Dreams more like Formula 1 nightmare that needs to disappear. Goodbye Honda!
