Viva Formula 1 2008

Its good to see all the silly car launches pretty much done and over with. I bumped into one of the Renault F1 engineers who works back at the factory in Enstone on NYE. The Northern Irish lad spotted I was wearing the blue 2006 edition Renault T shirt and thats how we got talking. Anyway he said that Alonso is not the least obnoxious person in the world, nevertheless he certainly will do anything it takes to win. Glad to hear it, even more glad as a fan that he topped the timsheets in Day 2 of testing in Jerez. Whats great is that the engineer said that the Renault F1 team have sorted the problems of the terrible R27 which is even better, I think we could see Fernando as championship contender which would be awesome. Although I still would prefer to see Kimi win. I think its justice that he won in 2007, Massa doesnt deserve it, he’s the ferrari donkey. I mean did you hear it when he was afraid of no traction control would make it more dangerous to race in the wet, he ought to get real.
