Already I can see that as the 2009 season goes on some trends will emerge. Brawn, Red Bull and Williams will avoid using KERS to maximise revenue and sponsorship opportunities buying time before Ferarri, McLaren and Renault catch up. This will increase their 2009 championship chances whilst giving them time to develop a reliable KERS system when it becomes compulsory for 2010.
Ferrari et al will no doubt catch up and return to the front again. All the cars on the grid will redesign their cars to include the new diffuser designs if they are ruled legal at the FIA appeal and all teams will design their cars to use pull rod suspension like the Red Bull RB5 since it seems to be the most aerodynamically efficient solution.
