Many are calling for Bernie Ecclestone to stand down in view of his dictator comments. As Sir Martin Sorrell says any CEO in other industry would be gone. Many also dislike the way Bernie runs things of which the commercial interests are not fully aligned with the Teams.
However, this isn’t just any other industry – this is F1! Bernie Ecclestone is a personality and the CVC back him. F1, love him or hate him, just wouldn’t be the same without him.
So Bernie stand up, I said stand up!
