Damon outshines James Allen for commentator!
Damon Hill completely outclassed James Allen for intelligent and unbiased commentary during the Hungarian Grand Prix. Damon was drafted in to temporarily replace Martin Brundle. I really loved the way Damon just constantly was prepared to give drivers credit and criticism where it was due. I t make a nice change from hearing James go on about how great Lewis is all the time - I’m almost tempted to switch the TV onto mute because of James Allen.
Fortunately we have Martin Brundle to keep him in check. I’m truly amazed how ITV won the sports Bafta as James aloso made mistakes such as “two former world champions coming into the pit” referrring to Alonso and Raikkonen when the latter is the current reigning champion. Where as Damon made some high vaalue adding comments throughout the weekend, noticing committed drivers going into the corners, tactics for Hungary - he is just gold to listen to.
