Break of ranks in the F1 halls of power?

In an unusual and uncharacteristic move Luca Di Montezemolo (Ferrari, FOTA) has recently indicated that he wants more transprency in revenues, calling for an end to the divide and rule tactics of FOM and more say in deciding venues for racing making light of having no races in North America by appointing another body other than FOM to run the sport.  The last time there was a threat was a few years back when the GPMA threatened a breakaway series - Ferrari stayed to true FOM and eventually the GPMA members went back to F1 as they got offered 50% up from 30% of the revenues.  As far as I understand most of the revenues are based on the television rights and the circuits paying for the right to host races.

Bernie Ecclestone retorted in the Times Newspaper saying that Ferrari stayed true because they got paid an extra $80m. Bernie has threatened to sue for any allegations that he has provided no transparency and that Luca should do his job and stay in touch with the operations of Ferrari instead of being a press officer.

There is likely to be conflict given that FOM will be reluctant to give any more revenue share to the teams given the finance servicing schedules that CVC have to adhere to.  The confrontation appears to be encouraged by the FIA given recent statements in the press.
