FIA and FOTA agree on cost cutting measures

With the economic depression thats looming, the FIA and FOTA have managed rather uncharacteristically to agree on cost cutting measure for 2009 and onwards.  The main features are:

Standardised engines for 4 teams or more to be produced by Cosworth and customer engines to be produced for no more than £5 million - I get the feeling Cosworth wont get a look in and the manufacturers will end up supplying the independent teams.

KERS will remain optional in 2009 and compulsory in 2010 - looks like Ferrari will run a non KERS version in 2009 and introduce the system mid season.
